Rush, you ignorant slut.

I'm almost sure I'm not the first/last to use that blog title. I use it in order to: 1)date myself; and 2)point out it wasn't even funny the first time Dan said it back in 1962 on SNL or whenever. But it does set up a point I have, and yes I have a point. Well, points.
1. It's not that republicans hate women. They don't. They just hate women's bodies. Mostly because they're afraid of women's bodies. And who doesn't hate what they fear, really? So let's cut them some slack.
2. Rush often tries to be funny. Sometimes he isn't. Say, in this case of tumbling down the slippery slope of paying for birth control = lots of sex = prostitution. Seriously, I know funny because often I'm not. He should watch Jon and Stephen. They're funny. Or Letterman, even.
3. There's also this notion that has tumbled down the slippery slope of birth control = abortion. Now as much as I wish abortion were legal until the fetus dies of an old age, I guess I'm just not smart enough to make the connection.
4. President O'bama needs to stop legislating religion just like the right doesn't legislate religion, unless it involves a jewish-y carpenter building a giant rock and roll church/mall 2 thousand years ago in Texas.
5. Aside from the fact that Rush is a fat cunt who's also arrogant without cause and idiotic without retardation, it's just bad business to legislate women's issues by involving women, especially "that time of the month".
6. [the fat cunt thing again]
7. I've rigged my MacBook to work with my MiFi, so I no longer have to use the ASUS Eee PC series I've been using for over a year, of which I'd like to write a review: "After using the ASUS Eee PC series computer for the last year and going back to the MacBook, I'm going to take the ASUS Eee PC series and set in on fire and shoot at it whilst it explodes."

So far Sleep Number and Sleep Train have pulled out as advertisers on the fat bastard's show. Not sure why mattress makers are fond of his shitfest, but apparently they are...were. It's been interesting to watch the impact of social media on this thing. They both used Twitter to announce they were pulling out, in response to tweets from angry customers. Those tweets were no doubt at least in some part, in response to THIS

So there's that. The Twitterverse carries weight now, and it's instant feedback. People were on this fucking thing within seconds of him saying that about Sandra Fluke.

I saw a great line from a guy named Mike Moses on Reddit..."Pulling out is not a reliable method of prevention. The only 100% safe method is complete abstinence from advertising on his program."

So there goes the really good pulling out joke.

My problem with this particular incident involving the fat fuck is that, like his Viagra incident, it makes me think of Limbaugh's sex life. Birth control= slut=prostitution= outrage=sponsors pulling out= me thinking about Rush's chubby ass in the act, and that's not good. Bleeding eyes not good.

I'm one 10-years-for-$350million contract past being stunned by his popularity. No matter how disgusting the shitbag is, he has a following of dickwads who adore him. He's got more money than God. This isn't going to change that. His fans will laugh about this most recent pants-wetting, and more sponsors will replace the mattress makers. I'm afraid the only thing that will satisfactorily alter his career trajectory is a fiery car crash where he's the only one injured, and by injured I mean killed.

damn i wish i'd thought of the pulling out bit. don't get me wrong; i listen to him from 12 to 1. long story for another time. al loves him, though i grew out of rush back in 92. and i tell al i don't listen to him because rush says stupid things and is stupid and his listeners for the most part are very stupid and surprisingly bigoted fucks. maybe not surprisingly.

anyways, i feel like i'm back with this computer, but i wanted to say wednesday that i was in the middle of a massive panic attack and i forgot about the power of manual labor and cut 2 wagon fulls of wood and felt better but couldn't because of computer rage. hope you are too. and loved hanging out with you oscar night. really. good crowd if you ask me.

I have laughed at Limbaugh's stuff. That was years ago.

Typing what I typed here about the anxiety was helpful. Keep shit bottled up, and it stays there. Eats me/you up from the inside. Back in the shrink days (89-90) Dr. Glass used to start off every session by asking me if I'd been getting good exercise. He swore it's the most effective way to relieve stress. (Gotta be better than Marlboros and coffee)

Glad the computer thing is cleared. btw- your word verification words are never really words.

Oscar night was a hoot. Agreed. All good peeps you have stopping by here Swit.

Anxiety sucks but the good thing is that it responds immediately to physical "labor" - I don't chop wood but I do walk like hell on my treadmill.

Rush sucks and he doesn't respond to anything. Every time my mind comes up with some horrible rejoinder toward him I have to remind myself that I don't want to live in the shit. And so, I banish it before saying it. But he does suck. I like Schmutzie's career trajectory picture. And normally I'm all about life and stuff.

Not to belabor the point that men (not you men here of course) keep trying to make but CONTRACEPTION IS NOT ABOUT ABORTION!!!

And really, really, really are we still here? This is news to us? I think to call Rush a slut or a cunt is to simply insult sluts and cunts who probably are mostly much more desirable companions, friends and neighbors.
