Multitasking

You think crying, "Foul out-of-bounds ball!" on President Obama's partisan rant against your own video-taped call to inaction 5 years ago on bin Laden while sucking Rudy's 9.11 centimeter dick at the ground zero museum of short memories is easy?

Well, come to think of it, regarding a citizenry's collective attention span of the lowest common denominator and median fuckheadedness, yeah, I can it is pretty easy. Never mind.

"Disappointed that President Obama has politicized the death of Osama Bin Laden."

It's funny just typing it.

Remember the night they interrupted Celebrity Apprentice to announce the news? I wish Obama would have walked up to the podium and said "Folks, this time the fucking mission really is accomplished."

Mitt, god help me for saying it, is actually starting to make Joe Biden look dope and fly, if I'm using those words correctly.

Best spring yet, Michael. Trying not to question my quite good mood.

Nothing to question brother. That's the payoff for being sober. And sober good moods feel so much more organic, don't they?

Want to see something about as moment of zen as zen can get?

SHEP SMITH

good lord. have you seen bill hader's shep? it's not bad.

a situation: main floor beam, say 8"x12", runs north to south, bisects house. main upstairs beam, say 6"x8", runs east to west. crack in the middle, more like a rip. braced it at crack and both sides. thinking... how does that affect my halving plan? don't know yet, but awfully fun to try to solve this problem. also, muffler sounds great on tractor.

Is the upstairs beam going to stay? Then maybe a support post under the crack. If 1/2 of that beam is one of those you're planning to serve as the roof support for the proposed porch, it'll have to go. Maybe I'm visualizing wrong. Post some pictures, and try to get the dog in a few of them. Hi Moonpie. Good dog.

Hader's Shep is very good. Stefon likewise. "So hit the dance floor with a bunch of hum-bas"- (Seth)- "What's a hum-ba?"- "Human roombas. It's where you put a midget on a skateboard and it slides around on your floor eating garbage." (He could deliver that joke without laughing. I love when that happens. It's like old Carol Burnett episodes)

Obviously meant couldn't deliver that joke etc....

HUM-BAs

well crap. let me figure a way to "get you the specs". recall these beams are hand-hewn. humbling.

stefon is pure genius. i remember losing it as he did. but i've only seen bill do alan alda once. my god, the guy's got chops for days.

moonpie is really great. i'm trying not to think about what i'm going to do without her. she's at least 10. really really hate thinking about that.

what i will allow myself to think about is what i was doing exactly 1 year ago. can't really remember the specifics... but a "friendly" reminder, so to speak, speaks volumes. and i ain't going back there; too much to do. and the warm weather is like having mom and dad here. may sound corny, but i can't deny the presence.

okay, how bout this, assuming the question makes sense and i'm asking the right question: gutted house, leaving only 3 beams-east, middle and west, hopefully sort of level with one another; leaving main upstairs beams-south, middle and north; middle beam has the crack. thinking...

dwelling is south half of house, porch (or whatever) north half. thinking... there is no question, sorry.

Keep her away from the coyotes and she's got years and years left.

You're coming up on 52 weeks. I know you remember those specifics. That was a big step to take. They'd both be proud of you.

Speaking of mom and dad, did you happen to hear about Dan Savage's address to the high school journalism convention? Right around the 2:35 mark I want to crawl through my monitor and shake his hand.

Hand hewn beams are cool. Almost like the tree doesn't mind being used as a work of art. You know my email right? Specs when you get time. And the offer stands for material. Siding and what-not at dealer cost. Alside HQ is in Akron and they've got distribution centers all over Ohio.
