Is that part c version 3?

Well? Are you under contract? How much land is there? Details, man, spill the beans!

Also, is this Ohio or Iowa?

When does it become appropriate to congratulate here?

Unless maybe this is some obscure mafia reference to a secretive, subversive CIA project to eliminate little Midwestern farmhouses so they can't be used as bases for The Terrorists(tm)?

Piqua, Ohio. 30+ or so miles north of Dayton on I75. Piqua is a dump. The property sits about 4 miles east from the Piqua city limits. It's only 2.4 acres (okay, 2.39), but it's in the middle of corn and bean fields. There's a 1/2 mile easement for a driveway (see figure 1) so it's pretty secluded. No furnace. There's a propane tank, but no furnace. And no fireplace. (!!!)

It needs a lot of work, but it's in (barely) live-in condition.

It's a foreclosure property. I made a cash offer the week before Christmas week. Blah, blah, blah, bank finally accepted the offer New Year's Eve eve. Talked to Sandra, the realtor lady, New Year's Eve to finalize the paperwork.

Haven't heard from her since. Is that unusual?

No congrats yet, Keif. Considering the fact that a water pipe burst on my house Sunday afternoon and that in addition to not having heat I now no longer have running water (and that it's been bitterly cold down here all week), I think you can be sure I need all the non-karma karma I can stand. Bill the plumber is finally putting in a new water heater. But it seems that at every stage of this particular home repair he uncovers yet something else that's wrong with my house. This isn't the way I imagined this new year to start. Still, it can still get worse. Gas leak, e.g.

P.S. It also sits, as the crow flies, about 20 miles from 1688 Bending Tree Lane, aka, Eden, where I stupidly ate from The Tree Of Knowledge instead of from The Tree Of Life. Wish I had it to do all over again. I really do. Rats.

[The Terrorists(tm). I really like that.]

Piqua, hmmm, I had some um,...unpleasantness there once upon a time. Anyhoo, Mr. Bright's quartet is singing in April in Celina. Let me know if you need tickets.

Yep, that's knowledge for ya. One of the first things to become clear to the self-aware is "you fucked up".

Speaking of which, I bombed my last chance to appear smart, and as a consequence I don't know when they'll ever send me to nearby Dayton again, but who knows.

Congrats! If they took your offer, then it's a done deal.

Karma schmarma, blame me if there's a snag.

What's up with that siding on the gable? Is it lost forever or just temporarily off?

Stone foundation or is that just under the porch?

That porch needs a swing, and maybe some screens.

omg are you watching this game?

This is good news, switters! Congrats! Looks like there is going to be some hard work in your future, but the end result looks good!

Get the heck out of the South before the next election for sure - it's going to be godawful.

Piqua, why, I could drive there from my mom's place. This works for me.
