That last one is of limestone slabs for the hearth. Which I'll be fiddling with today, if I can find my truss. And my chastity belt. And I'll post some interior pictures, when it starts to look a little bit less like I'm about to start my Manifesto.
Nice. Room to move. We're going to need doors for the utility truck. What year is that vehicle? Would it have been so hard to get Moonpie in a one or two of these shots?
Took doors off, easier to get in and out. 1991 Subaru Sambar 4wd. Hearth started. Sorry for typing. MacBook exploded, bought this used iPad at garage sale. Sort of. Dog was "indisposed" during pic.
It's 4WD? Sweet. I love that thing. Prob an optical illusion, but it almost looks like the steering wheel is on the right side, which would be even better for trips into town.
Hearth. Proennecke method or is there already a place for it? Chimney? Be sure to leave a nice wide flat spot on the floor in front of it so Moonpie can practice napping by the fire.
(Strahan pairing with Rippa? I would have preferred Seth M)
Yep, steering wheel on right. But the sheriff won't let me on anything but township roads.
I'm no Dick. But: wood floor, 3/8 inch dura rock, 3 inch limestone slab, stove, 4 feet of pipe, elbow into manufactured chimney in wall, to clean out elbow, up 4 feet of pipe to cap. Should draw well, fingers crossed tomorrow.
The mantle will be stacked limestone, no mortar, sort of an ongoing project. The stove weighs about 250' so I'll be sore tomorrow.
I'm not sure I could handle a stick lefty while steering with my right, but I'd love to take a spin in that Subaru.
Stacked limestone mantle with no mortar. Ambitious. Okay, here's the part where I remind you to wear eye protection in the event that you're chiseling limestone, and you roll your eyes because I'm an old pain in the ass who reminds you that you could put out one of those eyes so stop rolling your eyes this instant young man.
Well, I may jinx the whole thing, but the pipe is up and out, brackets secure, screws holding. Dog and I may have to test the draft tonight. I do not think she will mind. Again, fingers crossed.

We have a very nice draft. Now I can really concentrate on making the space I am heating actually heat able.
